December 2018 Events Recap

Lauren and Jon’s wedding at Canyonwood Ridge on December 31st NYE

One of the most beautiful sunsets to ever set on Cayonwood Ridge happened on NYE during Lauren and Jon’s ceremony . This photo doesn’t do it justice, but the colors were amazing. My favorite part was that the groom walked down to the isle to “I Choose You by Willie Hutch”, which you might recognize as the instrumental to “Int’ Players Anthem by UGK”. Shoutout to the coordinator who was on point, Kara with Weddings by Weaver. Also a shoutout to Lupe Tortilla who had the most amazing fajitas Ive ever had after doing 400 weddings.

Gaby and Max’s wedding at The McNay Art Museum on December 29th

One of the most amazing weddings Ive had the honor of DJing. I usually only recommend 2 hours max of dance party, but Gaby and Max wanted 4 hours! Their dance floor was packed from start to finish, and I easily could have played music for another hour. SO much fun, I wish I had taken more videos! Shoutout to an amazing coordinator, Nikki with My Forever by Nikki.

Lorenzo and Paige’s wedding at Hummingbird House on December 15th

One of the last weddings of the year, but big for us since we just got new equipment for 2019! Black vinyl turntables with no tone arms and a matching black woodgrain drum kit. This dance party was one for the books, and luckily I got a recording on my Instagram story. Follow @hyperhythm for weekly wedding stories like this one! By the way, if you’re ever looking for the best Italian wedding food, hit up Gino with Reale’s. Best Italian food at weddings I’ve ever had!

Mike and Teresa’s wedding at K Oaks Clubhouse on December 8th

The Christmas decor behind Chris is a funny story. Mike and Teresa wanted us on stage at their venue, however when we opened the curtains, all these christmas decorations were behind us for the event the next day. They were worried how it might look, but it ended up fitting the pre-Christmas vibe very nicely and the photos came out amazing! Another happy, newly married couple!

Fransisco and Amanda’s wedding at Park 31 on December 1st

This wedding was the first time I had been out to Park 31 out north of San Antonio near Boerne. Don’t let the name deceive you, this isn’t a pavilion in the middle of park. Park 31 is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever been to. Thanks to Amanda and Fransisco for trusting me with playing at a new venue, it was an honor! Even better, also got to work alongside the amazing photographer, Lyndsay Lyon!
