Associate DJ + Live Musicians Wedding Pricing
Preceremony & Ceremony
- Microphones included are a wireless lapel mic for the officiant, and a handheld wireless microphone for readers or personalized vows. More mics can be added in if desired.
- We normally begin playing music 30 mins before ceremony begins or as guests arrive.
- Add in Hype Rhythm’s live musicians to play your preceremony and ceremony!
- Also willing and able to have non-hype rhythm associated musicians plug into our speakers.
- Popular live music choices include acoustic guitar, piano + cello, acoustic string duo to quartet, or solo electric violinist playing improv on instrumental backing tracks.
Cocktail & Dinner
- Cocktail & Dinner are wonderful times to bring in a live musician.
- Most ceremony musicians will offer a discounted rate to continue playing after ceremony into cocktail (highly recommended).
- You can find sample videos of our musicians on Youtube & Instagram.
- Switch the instrumentalist up for dinner! Popular choices are jazz quartet by Colin Houlihan, or improv sax, or guitar on top of your choice of songs.
Dancing
- Our main source of sharing music playlists is Spotify. You can be as hands on or hands off about planning music as you desire.
- We normally play anywhere from 60 to 80 songs in total for the full dance segment (2.5 hours).
- While DJing, our DJs use an auto program Gigbar Light to make the dance floor light up!
- Unless requested, we stay away from line dances, and only play around 2-4 slow/country songs.
- Our final DJ questionnaire asks you for your Spotify playlist links, and also all the in depth questions such as; preferences on clean vs original songs, do not plays, preferred MC style, preference on taking requests, and more!
Booking Hype Rhythm
Choosing a Package
- First, (below) we have 4 base DJ packages based on equipment & time needed
- Packages increase in order of speaker set ups needed for separate locations of ceremony, cocktail, dinner, & dancing.
- Each package time is made to include a 2.5 hour long dance segment
- Included outside of the listed time frame; We arrive & need two hours for set up before guests arrive, and need an hour to breakdown.
- It’s important to note for package 3 & 4 that our start time is the pre-ceremony/guest arrival (30 mins before ceremony begins).
- Second, add in live musicians, additional uplights, or time.
- When choosing more than DJ & one live instrument (mainly for the dance segment), a sound engineer add on is required to balance & control volume levels for musicians & guests.
- Our uplights included are sufficient to light up the wall behind the DJ/Band, but some clients choose to add in 12-18 more to do the full reception space.
- Some venues & indoor reception spaces do not have proper sound insulation. As a result, some of the combinations of live musicians might not be possible, be very loud, or take up to more space than available. Regardless, we do bring disposable ear plugs for guests that are hearing sensitive.
Deposit & Contract
- A deposit (non-refundable) of 50% (fifty percent of the initial invoice) & signing of our contract via Honeybook is required to book Hype Rhythm. The remaining 50% is due a month before the wedding.
- The contract covers all non music related questions, from outdoor stipulations, refund & cancelation policies, back-up policy, and more.
- After singing the contract and paying deposit, we send over a document with links to our playlists, and a rider for planning purposes (electric, spatial, and vendor meal requirements)
- Important notes and disclaimers:
- No worries if you don’t know what exactly is needed yet in terms of live musicians, additional lighting, or extra time. The add ons can be input into the invoice after signing. It’s most important to lock the DJ in. Add in musicians sooner than later to get the best of the best musicians on your wedding.
- We do not charge service fees or sales tax, as we are musicians by current Texas Law.
- A required gratuity of 25% is added to the following days: New Years Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve/Day, and July 4th.
- Hype Rhythm has COI and venue insurance upon request.
