San Antonio Wedding at The Witte Museum – 9/16/17

A majority of the weddings I DJ are in the Austin area, but I’m no stranger to San Antonio, and especially the Witte Museum. The groom, Matt, and I had played soccer together for a few years in high school, and I was honored when Matt and his fiancé, Claire, asked me to be their DJ. The dance floor was packed all night and I couldn’t be more happy for the newlyweds! Review to be posted soon!

Associated Wedding Planners of Austin – 9/12/17

The top wedding vendors in Austin were invited to a secret reveal party for AWPA, or Associated Wedding Planners of Austin. The goal of AWPA is to promote higher wedding industry standards for planners and the unbiased recommendation of other wedding vendors. Looking forward to working with AWPA associates in the future!

San Antonio Wedding at Embassy Suites Riverwalk – 9/2/17

I’ve done close to about 300 weddings now and had never seen this dance floor modification before – its a giant vinyl sticker with the couples monogram printed on top done by Embassy Suites. Knowing how much fun of a dance party they were about to have, I was really excited to take the before and after picture of the dance floor. Needless to say, the party was a blast and I played everything from Country, Hispanic, Top Hits, Throwbacks, and even got to Rick-Roll the groom with help from the bride. Congratulations Jessica and Chris, it was an honor to DJ for you guys, and wishing y’all the best!

Austin Wedding at The Texas Women’s Federation – 9/1/17

To me, this wedding was one of the best reasons why to hire a DJ for your wedding. The bride was looking for a sing-along type dance segment to  unconventional hits from the 60’s-80’s. I took the bride’s playlist and mixed it in with some more well known hits from that time as well to keep the guests on the dance floor all night! Ended with a Freddy Mercury/Michael Jackson/Prince sing along tribute, long story short – PERFECT! Thanks to Jen and Jon for having me help them pull off a great wedding.

July 2017

7/8/17 – Wedding

Blessed to have a family who supports my passion, and especially to my cousin who had me out to DJ his Saturday brunch wedding at the South Congress Hotel. This wedding was another amazing affair put together and coordinated by Michelle with Here to Help! I love brunch weddings, and especially having our family there to dance and have a good time made it unforgettable. Congratulations Mitch and Sarah!

7/3/17 – Wedding

Had a great time DJing for these two Baylor graduates, Emily and Adam, who got married out at Texas Old Town‘s Sage Hall the day before July the 4th (smart!). Guests had such a fun time dancing that we got too lit and ended up breaking the AC. Even though hot, we played it cool and still had a great time on the dance floor. Congratulations!

7/1/17 -Wedding

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of this wedding, but still wanted to post a big thank you to Jeremiah and Dee for having me there to DJ/Host/Coordinate their wedding. Dee suffers from a fear of public speaking and didn’t think she was gonna be able to make it through saying her vows. When it finally got to her vows, she began to break down and it looked like they were gonna have to be skipped, but instead of crying she overcame her fear and – seriously – said some of the most beautiful, heartfelt vows I have ever heard in 250+ weddings. Was really special to witness something so passionate like that, so thank you guys for having me!

June 2017

6/17/17 – Wedding

Another amazing Hype Rhythm Live wedding took place at Ashley and Andrew’s wedding at Dimebox Ballroom. Here is her review posted of our DJ/Drummer entertainment combo on our Facebook. More pictures to be posted as soon as the photographer has them ready! Thank you for having us and glad we could rock your wedding!

Thank you so much Nick Ruiz for making our wedding so awesome!!! I can’t tell you how many of our guests raved about how great y’all were! We have some friends that are booking y’all for their wedding next year! So again, thank you SO much! Y’all were fantastic!

6/10/17 – Wedding

Congratulations to Matt and Tawny! They had a (finally!) beautiful day in June and celebrated it at Texas Old Town‘s Stone Hall. This was one of the most on-time and stress free weddings I’ve ever seen thanks to Michelle with Here To Help! The couple and I met over our love of Halal Bros, who don’t usually cater, but Tawny and Matt weren’t about to take “No” for an answer. Thank you for having me!

6/3/17 – Wedding

For the past three weekends in a row the weather in Texas has been extra Texas. We would go from no rain predicted to flash flood, back to clear skies all within an hour. No matter what, the humidity was always there to remind us that the Texas summer is just beginning!

So needless to say, from the DJs perspective at least, moving the ceremony to the air conditioned inside is cool with me! And it’s even more fortunate when the sky clears up beautifully right after your ceremony, so you are still able to take planned pictures in the Spicewood Vineyards. Congratulations to Brian and Anne, and thank you guys for trusting in me to do what I do!

6/2/17 – Hype Rhythm Live

In the mix at our newest West 6th Street spot, Steampunk Saloon. Even while both us of were sick with a cold, we still brought the Hype on a very humid Friday! We are in the mix again at Steampunk next Friday 6/16 from 11pm-2am!

April in Austin, Texas

4/10/17 – ILEA Happy Hour

Hype Rhythm Live was debuted at ILEA’s April Happy Hour at Speakeasy. Proud to say we got people dancing, which is unusual to say the least. We know how to bring the energy that gets people grooving!

5/30/17 –  Wedding

Proud to say this is Hype Rhythm’s first LBGT wedding! Congratulations to Stephanie and Cara, and thank you for letting me be a part of yall’s big day! The newly wed’s first dance and Hype Rhythm’s new essential lighting package is pictured above at Camp Lucy‘s Ian’s Chapel.

5/29/17 – Wedding

Had the honor of being the DJ for my good friend from college. Hype Rhythm’s standard package light set up is pictured above at The Austin Club. But most importantly, this party was awesome! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Taraba!

5/29/17 – Mitzvah

Hype Rhythm’s Eugene “Alchemist Prime” Gil did an amazing job at Gavin’s Bar Mitzvah at The Getaway Car Club. Kids had a great time playing games and dancing to the top hits of today with Eugene and Eric, the party motivator. The guys were looking for an assortment of the newest rap music out today, but Hype was well prepared in making sure we had all the proper clean edits of any requested songs.

4/22/17 – Mitzvah

Celebrated Emily’s Bat Mitzvah at The Old San Fransisco Steak House in San Antonio. Easily one of the top mitzvah’s of 2017! Emily wanted to dance the entire time and we definitely made that happen from start to finish! Review to be posted soon!

4/21/17 – Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. “Johnifer” had a lovely wedding out at Welfare Cafe in Boerne, Texas. It was supposed to rain all day, but somehow ended up being one of the most perfect days of the year. Congratulations Jennifer and John!

4/1/17 – Wedding

Thanks to Ahisamac and Shane for having me out to Kevin Fowler’s Rustic Ranch. That dance party was nonstop! Her review below speaks for itself!

Nick was awesome at our wedding, everyone was talking about it at the wedding and after the wedding. We had a wedding with less than a 100 guests the day of coordinator suggested to have 2hrs or less of dancing because the amount of people, I’ve insist in having more time, best thing I did, Nick had everyone dancing from the first till the last song. When the last song was announced some people including me were asking if we could extend the party. We had the wedding I wanted it was soo much fun, everyone had fun.If you want your wedding day to be memorable he is the guy!
